We will be happy to perform a pre-purchase examination prior to the horse (sale) here at our equine clinic or at the home barn.

The clinical part includes the examination of the following areas as standard:

• General appraisal with identification verification
• Respiratory system (at rest and under stress)
• Cardiovascular system (at rest and under stress)
• Musculoskeletal system (at rest and under load)
• Digestive system including mouth and dentition
• Nervous system
• Eyes
• Breeding suitability examination if desired

We recommend the following radiographs as X-ray examinations:

• Forelimb and hindlimb on both sides
• Toe 90°
• Tarsus on both sides: 0°, 70°, 110°
• on the forelimbs oxspring on both sides
• Knee bilateral 0°
• Back 90
• Cervical spine 90

If required, the following examinations are optionally available in addition:

• Ultrasound, if reasonable according to preliminary report
• if necessary, examination for prohibited medication (doping test)
• Endoscopy of the respiratory tract
